Summary

An unexpected love quadrangle with a dash of unrequited love as two classmates, a boy and a girl, begin to fall for each other when each of their best friends have already fallen for them。

Love is already hard enough, but it becomes an unnavigable maze for unassuming high school student Taichi Ichinose and his shy classmate Futaba Kuze when they begin to fall for each other after their same-sex best friends have already fallen for them。

The culture festival begins, and Toma and Taichi talk about their futures, but it ends with the two not quite seeing eye to eye。 Shortly after, Toma sits down with Mami for a serious discussion, and in response to her earnest openness, he makes a big decision that could change everything。 Time keeps moving forward, pushing everyone to the cusp of making critical life choices。

Hi, pain, feels, heartbroken。 I've absolutely loved ever moment that this series has given me and embrace the heartache with open arms。 My notes app is filled with notes for this but I honestly feel like I will never be able to acurrently talk about how much I've fallen for this series。 I might review each volume individually or just wait for the last one。 I'm not sure yet。 Y'all know when I do。 Hi, pain, feels, heartbroken。 I've absolutely loved ever moment that this series has given me and embrace the heartache with open arms。 My notes app is filled with notes for this but I honestly feel like I will never be able to acurrently talk about how much I've fallen for this series。 I might review each volume individually or just wait for the last one。 I'm not sure yet。 Y'all know when I do。 。。。more

Sometimes things feel a little too real。 There are wake up calls, reveals, and fears to work through。 You should never have to apologize for loving someone。

The conversations here were HEAVY 。。。Whether a person agrees or disagrees with the discussions happening, I think more so it reflects the mentality of youth in Japan。

Um holy shit! We’re finally hitting the big story notes that we’ve been building towards for so long and it HURTS the way it’s all going。 I yearn for the happiness for these characters but I love how each of their struggles are unique and difficult in their own way。 And I have to wait months? To see what happens next? This is the worst crime ever committed。

He said it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Okay we're getting into the real shit now。 I loved this volume because it dealt with personal feelings and how you see yourself vs how people might feel about you。 A great look into two minds of characters who are gay and deal with worrying what others will think of them as。 The last two chapters are intense and the ending。。。oh man。 I really think Blue Flag is an amazing series and I hope it gets a proper anime one day。 He said it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Okay we're getting into the real shit now。 I loved this volume because it dealt with personal feelings and how you see yourself vs how people might feel about you。 A great look into two minds of characters who are gay and deal with worrying what others will think of them as。 The last two chapters are intense and the ending。。。oh man。 I really think Blue Flag is an amazing series and I hope it gets a proper anime one day。 。。。more

This review has been hidden because it contains spoilers。 To view it, click here。 (this is mostly me talking about my hopes and fears for next volume, not really a review)I。。 really want to punch that bald guy, seriously。 I just want good things for Toma :/。 This volume was pretty serious so I'm glad it did have its funny moments as well to balance it out。 But also。。 I don't really know how to feel about it yet? I'm mostly just worried about next volume。 Toma getting outted to the entire school was so dramatic which。。 I guess since he's a popular guy there would be some buzz (this is mostly me talking about my hopes and fears for next volume, not really a review)I。。 really want to punch that bald guy, seriously。 I just want good things for Toma :/。 This volume was pretty serious so I'm glad it did have its funny moments as well to balance it out。 But also。。 I don't really know how to feel about it yet? I'm mostly just worried about next volume。 Toma getting outted to the entire school was so dramatic which。。 I guess since he's a popular guy there would be some buzz plus the way HOW he got outted (fuck that bald guy, I hope he gets kicked out of the friendgroup), but I'm afraid it's gonna be this huuuge deal when he goes back to school eventually。 I hope he doesn't have to fight for acceptance, hold speeches and all that。 I also hope it's not too much about how other characters feel if that makes sense? I want the focus to be on Toma and his feelings because ouch he really got outted to his entire fucking school after finally getting the courage to come out to one of his friends。 And I want to know Taichi's reaction to the confession there at the end!! I hope they have a good talk and that Taichi reacts well and doesn't get homophobic。 Like, they're best friends! I get it must feel a bit weird but I just want him to support Toma even if he has to turn him down (best case scenario Taichi starts thinking ab his own sexuality and discovers he's actually bi or something)。 I have hope though, because he didn't listen to the rumors going around and wanted to hear from Toma himself。 I just don't want there to be a fight or something (Toma's been through enough)。I heard the manga goes downhill after a certain moment so I really hope this isn't that moment。。。 。。。more

This manga perfectly encapsulates the messiness of teenagerhood。 The uncertainty of the future, finding your "happiness", your identity, feelings and all the stupid shallow reasons that made perfect sense to you then。Also fuck Kensuke。 This manga perfectly encapsulates the messiness of teenagerhood。 The uncertainty of the future, finding your "happiness", your identity, feelings and all the stupid shallow reasons that made perfect sense to you then。Also fuck Kensuke。 。。。more

This volume feels like seeing everything from straight people's lense and very ignorant。 No consideration whatsoever about the queer characters。 I don't understand how this title always shown up whenever someone recommend lgbt-themed book。 This volume feels like seeing everything from straight people's lense and very ignorant。 No consideration whatsoever about the queer characters。 I don't understand how this title always shown up whenever someone recommend lgbt-themed book。 。。。more

What would Futaba think? So she keeps it secret, but keeping it secret feels like she's lying, which comes with guilt。Also, bravo Akiko for being a true ally。 She doesn't blame, she doesn't sugarcoat, she doesn't belittle。 She listens and offers optional advice, but more importantly, she made the conversation a save place for Masumi to openly talk。Then there's Toma, who's also struggling with the fact that he's gay and is in love with Taichi。 Admitting this to his family, his friends, to Taichi, will change everything。 But it is the one thing that will make him the happiest。 This high risk/high reward situation is extremely stressful simply because you can't predict how others will react。 You can't make the decision for them。 However, the way this volume ended, I'm terrified that Toma is going to do something drastic。 (hide spoiler)]["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]> 。。。more
